Newsletter Message 20th May 2023
Two major Solemnities will be celebrated over the next two weeks.
Pentecost is a reminder that not only did the Holy Spirit come among the apostles, the Holy Spirit is within us as well. Reflecting each day on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23) and how we have allowed ourselves to be influenced by them gives us a good and prayerful meditation on our behaviour and conscience. The Holy Spirit is with us to guide us so lets open our hearts and minds to this Holy presence.
Trinity Sunday reminds us that God is all about relationship and is not enclosed but outward looking hence the gift of creation of which we are part. The Trinity relates to us as well, our faith is alive when we understand that God is personable, wishes to walk with us and invites us to trust in God’s grace.
