UPDATES
GIFT started on March 14th at 2pm at St Gerard’s Catholic Primary School in Thrybergh. We had over 140 children and adults gathered together for Mass, some social time together and then family cathchesis.
The first GIFT session explored where do we find blessings in our lives. We learnt that “every baptised person is called to be a blessing and to bless.”
Children blessed their parents and parents blessed their children. Each family took home a box of blessings they had made together.
Our April session looked at hope. We learnt that hope is the “sure and steadfast anchor of the soul…that enters…where Jesus has gone.”
We made candle holders with signs of hope on them. Before we went home, we lit our candles from the Pascal candle and renewed our baptismal promises.
It’s been so wonderful seeing families come together and we can’t wait for our next session is on the 9th May at 2pm.
