In a week’s time we will be celebrating Mother’s Day. It is always held on the Fourth Sunday of Lent Laetare Sunday (Rejoice) and has its origins in this country from customs held since medieval times. It was a day when people originally visited their ‘mother’ church which meant the church where you were baptised….
