Prepare for Lent
During Lent a 7am Wednesday morning Mass will be celebrated at the Immac-ulate Conception and the Mass at the Chapel on the Bridge in Rotherham will be celebrated on Thursdays at 12noon. Stations of the Cross will be celebrat-ed every Wednesday at St Gerard’s after the 10am Mass and at the Immacu-late Conception on Thursdays 6-30pm.
Lenten Vespers, Benediction and Compline will be held at St Bedes with con-fession available on Wednesday 19th March at 7pm.
On Friday 4th April the Immaculate Conception holds a 12 hour period of Ado-ration, 7am to 7pm with confession available through the day. A timetable for the day will be available shortly.
Palm Sunday Masses
The celebration of Palm Sunday this year will be different on Sunday morning. You are invited to gather in the school halls of St Mary’s before the 9am Mass and St Gerard’s before the 11am Mass. The palms will be blessed and distributed in the school halls and we will process from there to the churches for the rest of the Mass. People with limited mobility are invited to go to the church and not to the school halls. Blessed palms will be brought to them. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not come late, arrive early.
